A Path with Heart - Electric Parsley

In Ingmar Bergman’s ‘Winter Light’ the Vicar is consumed with regret, guilt and fear about not taking the path he has come to realise he so desperately desires. He lives a life of lies traipsing along this path-with-no-heart yet is unable to get off that path for fear of great change. He is a walking representation of everything he doesn’t want to be; saying and presenting one persona but feeling and believing another. But he cannot change. So his moment of living; his 'now-ness' never gets fulfilled. The wonder that we are ‘waiting’ for is not going to happen it IS happening. So while we put off doing what our heart desires because we are waiting for our heart's desire to be filled by whatever we are waiting for, we miss living a life of what our heart desires. This portfolio of work is about following a path that my heart desires.
